Beaumont High School
3836 Natural Bridge
St. Louis Missouri 63107
Beaumont
was the ninth high school to be open in the St. Louis Public School System in September of 1926. The cost to build the school
was the most of the previous eight at $2,296,870 including the site. It contained 95 rooms, besides 30 ancillary rooms, and
an auditorium seating 2,250 people. Its site was 6351/2 feet
by 672 feet.
Beaumont
High School inherited the legacy of twenty years of rich experience of the Yeatman High School. When it opened, the entire
student body of the Yeatman High School went to it, together with the ninth grade of the Central High School. Those two bodies
of students were fused into one homogeneous group destined to build a new spiritual superstructure upon the foundation provided
by former experiences.
The first Principal was Mr. Wilbur N. Fuller and Mr. Albert H. Huntington was the assistant principal.

We are the Girls of Beaumont High School, BG’s, mostly from the Fifties, who, some fifty years since graduation,
are meeting each month for lunch renewing friendships with past classmates, not only to reminisce those days at Beaumont but
to share what has been going on in our life since school when we last have seen each other. We hope the word will get out
to many more of our classmates and we will continue to grow each month.

all the Beaumont Girls you still are in touch with and come join with other classmates for lunch.

The BG's started several years ago when a friend from
school, Marilyn Jost, came into town and wanted to get together with as many grade school graduation classmates that
we could find. We had about 15 of us and was great time talking about the old times. Last summer of
2006, Marilyn (Steffens) Duncan came into town and we had lunch at Gingham's. We had so much fun and when we found some
of our friends could not make it to our 50th reunion, we had our first luncheon at Schneithorst's.. At the time
we talked about a name for our group and we didn't want to be called the "GOB" or "WOB" so we decided on the name "BG's"
Beaumont Girls. We decided to keep in touch monthly instead of every 25 years. The word spread to all of the Beaumont
Alumni gals and we decided to have a monthly luncheon on the second Friday of each month at Lombardo's Restaurant.
Our last luncheon in April had 47 classmates and we hope to continue growing. It is like a large block party
and even though we don't know everyone we have the same common bond of school and teachers. Our thanks to Marilynne
(Clouse) Brayfield and friends for getting the BG's started.
